Deleting your Money+ data

1. Open Money+ and sign in, if you are not already.
2. Go to the Settings tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my Money+ data.
4. Read the confirmation, which repeats what will and will not be removed, then tap Delete my data.
5. Wait for the confirmation message. You are signed out automatically, and the offline copy on your device is erased.

Deletion starts immediately. Unlinking each bank is done through Plaid, so if one of your institutions is temporarily unreachable the app will tell you the removal is still pending — run it again later and it will finish the job. Nothing is left half-deleted.

From our servers:

• Every bank connection. Each linked institution is revoked and removed at Plaid, so no further transaction data can be retrieved.
• Your Google connection. The stored Google credentials are revoked and forgotten, which ends our access to your spreadsheet.
• Your spaces. The Money+ record of each space is removed. Where you were the owner of a shared space, the shared record is removed; where you were a member, you are removed from it.
• Your profile and account settings.
• Notification device tokens, so pushes stop reaching your devices.
• Pending link sessions and internal rate-limit records.

From your device:

• The encrypted offline copy of your data, and your local preferences.

Three things are not removed, each for a reason:

3.1 Your Google Sheets

Your spreadsheets stay in your Google Drive, with every row intact. They are your files, and deleting them is your decision, not ours. If you want them gone, delete them in Google Drive yourself.

3.2 Your shared Plus account

Money+ signs you in with a Plus account that is shared across Plus apps. Deleting your Money+ data does not delete that account, so apps like Skills+ keep working. To delete the Plus account itself, see Section 5.

3.3 An active paid subscription

If you have a Money+ subscription, the billing record survives a data deletion — a subscription you paid for should not disappear because you cleared your data. Deleting your data does not cancel billing. Cancel the subscription separately in your App Store or Google Play account settings. See Section 4.

Billing is handled by the store you subscribed through, so cancellation happens there:

Cancelling stops future charges at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by the store under its own policy — we cannot issue them.

To remove the shared Plus account and the data held by every Plus app attached to it, use the account deletion page at withplus.co/delete-account.html, or email privacy@withplus.co from the address on the account.

Deleting the Plus account does not delete your Google Sheets either. Those remain yours in Drive in every case.

Deleting your Money+ data already revokes our Google access. If you would like to confirm it independently, or revoke it without using the app, you can do so directly from Google:

1. Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions.
2. Find Money+ in the list of apps with account access.
3. Select it and choose Remove Access.

Money+ only ever requests the narrow drive.file scope, which covers the specific files you create with or open through the app — never the rest of your Drive.

If you cannot sign in, or the deletion will not complete, email privacy@withplus.co from the email address on your account and tell us you want your Money+ data deleted. We will verify the request and do it for you.

We aim to respond within two business days, and to complete a verified deletion request within 30 days.

Once deletion completes, the records listed in Section 2 are gone from our live systems. Two narrow exceptions:

• Integrity metadata. Hashes recording that a change was written — containing no financial content and no personal data — expire automatically after 30 days.
• Legal and accounting records. Where law requires us to keep a record of a transaction, such as a subscription payment, we keep the minimum for the required period.

Routine backups are cycled out on their normal schedule.
