Learn+ integrates with YouTube API Services to search for, retrieve, and display educational videos within courses. Here is how we use YouTube data:

- Video Search Results: We search YouTube for videos relevant to your course topics
- Video Metadata: We retrieve video titles, descriptions, thumbnails, channel names, view counts, and video IDs
- Video Playback: Videos are played through YouTube's embedded player within the App
How We Use YouTube Data
- Course Content: YouTube video metadata is used to populate course chapters with relevant educational videos
- Display Purposes: Video titles, thumbnails, and channel information are displayed to help you identify and select videos
- No User Data Collection via YouTube: We do not access your personal YouTube account, watch history, subscriptions, or any personal YouTube data
How We Store YouTube Data
- Video References: We store YouTube video IDs and basic metadata (title, thumbnail URL, channel name) in our database to display videos in your courses
- Data Freshness: Video metadata is retrieved when courses are created. We refresh video availability periodically and remove unavailable videos
- Data Deletion: When you delete a course, all associated YouTube video references are deleted from our systems
Third-Party Data Sharing
- We do not share YouTube data with any third parties other than displaying it to you within the App
- YouTube (Google) may collect data about your video viewing through their embedded player according to Google's Privacy Policy
